SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
There was no shortage of history to borrow from at Becca and James’s Tuscan villa. Its crumbling frescoes became a natural starting point, joined by antique French ribbons, delicate eyelet lace, and the custom fabrics created for the wedding itself. From there, everything began to speak to one another. Dainty florals and hand-drawn patterns moved between paper and fabric, while a more colorful motif brought a slightly preppy sensibility to the romance of the old Italian villa. Layered together, they created a paper collection that felt as though it might have belonged there all along.
FROM PAPER TO VEIL
One piece of the stationery found an especially personal second life. The romantic, old-world script used throughout the paper goods made its way onto Becca’s custom cathedral-length veil, embroidered with a line from her vows to James: “As long as I live, I’ll love you.” What began as part of the wedding’s visual language became something Becca could quite literally carry with her down the aisle. A fitting conclusion for a celebration where the past was never simply referenced, but given somewhere new to live.
