EAST MEETS WEST
Sarah and Samir’s celebration was a meeting of worlds. East and West. Modern simplicity and exuberant color. Portuguese influence and personal references that felt like Sarah and Samir. We looked to the Moorish architecture and intricate tilework found throughout old Lisbon, borrowing shapes and patterns that became the foundation of the artwork. A detailed peacock joined them, inspired by the magnificent birds that roam freely through the venue’s grounds. The invitations arrived in full color, with textured papers, subtle embossing, and tonal letterpress offering guests their first glimpse of Lisbon in spring.
A PROPER WELCOME
This was a weekend made for its guests. Welcome totes were filled with local specialties and useful things for days spent wandering Lisbon’s old stone streets between celebrations. Inside, embroidered caps wrapped in custom tissue became one of the weekend’s most loved pieces.
AND A CHANGE OF PACE
For the reception, color stepped aside. Texture and typography did more of the talking, with tonal printing and sparse touches of color appearing across the table. It was the same world guests had been invited into from the beginning, simply seen from another angle.
